Amb. Owen Osakpolor Idemudia, Nigerian Youth Ambassador in Italy, has challenged Nigerian Youths in italy on the need for self-actualisation,
stating that as sustainable solution for empowerment, development, socio-economic relevance, and survival.
The Ambassador National Youth Council of Nigeria Italy Diaspora Unit, Comr. Owen, affirmed this in his Opening Address at the 2nd Edition of the
Youth Stakeholders Meeting and Empowerment Program held in Ravenna City Emilia-Romagna Regione if Italy
with cross section of Nigeria nYouth over the weekend.
“Nowadays, majority of our Youths are accused of trying to seek shortcuts to achieve their goals in life, which is largely true. Many are unwilling to take time
to work hard at improving their skills and talents, rather wishing and expecting to own houses, cars, and other
luxuries of life overnight. However, we all know that Rome was not built in a day and there is always time for everything under the sun,”
Amb. Owen stated.
He went further to enjoin the Youth to strive to acquire more education when and where possible, or learn trades and skill-sets for economic sustainability. Comr. Owen urged Young People to discover what they are wired for, pursue what they are good at and also improve their individual capacities and personal labour values .
The Youth Ambassador to Italy posited that the future of the nation was dependent on Youth actualizing their God-given Purposes in life, stressing that to thrive meant growing vigorously, in gaining knowledge and wealth, while progressing in realizing set goals and aspirations.
“Understanding your persnonal makeup and composition will enhance your fulfillment, and enable you to harness your gifts and abilities and turn them into a product, service or a brand that you can sell,” Amb. Owen concluded.
