A young man identified as Ernest Akpan has reportedly been found dead in a hotel swimming pool in Eket, Akwa Ibom.
The deceased was in an end of the year party with his friends at Tingles Lodge, Ikot Udoma in Eket, when the incident happened.
He was found dead in a swimming pool with many believing that the young man had drowned.
The family, who claimed that foul play was involved, demanded to see the CCTV footage of activities that night at the hotel.
However, the CCTV footage from about 4:15am to around 5:58am had reportedly mysteriously disappeared.
Akpan’s family have taken to Facebook to mourn the death of their son, demanding that justice be served as they claim that the non-availability of the footage during the time their son died is proof that he was murder.
