Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of recking the economy of Nigeria and plunging the country into security woes.
Ortom in a statement on Thursday accused the government of President Buhari of inflicting economic hardship on Nigerians.
The statement by the Benue State Governor which was issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur comes as a response to the allegation by the President that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has failed.
Naija News recalls the President during an interview with Channels Television which was aired on Wednesday, mocked the PDP over its planned return to power in 2023.
Speaking during the interview, the Nigerian leader described the opposition party as a “failure”.
President Buhari stated that whenever he hears the abbreviation “PDP”, what comes to mind is “failure”.
But in response, Ortom on Thursday stated that the only failure is the President and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said, “as a critical stakeholder of the PDP, this is completely false. If anyone has failed, it is the Buhari-led APC federal government that has failed by taking Nigeria from top to bottom.
“The PDP is ready to rescue Nigeria from the insecurity and economic horror placed on Nigerians by the APC”.
He added that the APC has been exposed as they have run out of all lies and propaganda to tel the Nigerian people.
“They have exhausted all their lies and have nothing more to tell Nigerians,” he added.
