Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has declared there is a strong possibility that he would be joining the 2023 presidential race in Nigeria.
Saraki made the declaration on Sunday during an interview with Channels TV’s Sunday Politics where he spoke about his presidential ambition.
According to the former Kawara State Governor, he has every quality needed to become the next President of Nigeria.
‘Yes, there is a strong possibility,” Saraki responded when questioned about the possibility of running for the 2023 presidency.
He added that he is not someone who shies away from responsibilities, adding that he understands the challenges confronting Nigeria and has the qualities needed to address the challenges.
“I believe I have what it takes to lead Nigeria,” Saraki said.
“I am not someone who shies away from taking up challenges. I am not someone who does not know the issues or someone who does not have the energy and vibrancy to address those issues.
“More importantly, I am someone that can reach out across the political divide, based on my antecedents. I am someone who can reach out across the ethnicity divide and across the religious divide”.
On why he is yet to officially declare his intention, Saraki said he is still consulting.
