One Hauwa Auwal has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force in Kano State for allegedly pouring boiled water on her new rival.
Reports had it that the woman who is a resident of Shekara Sabuwar Abuja in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state, attacked her husband’s second wife, Sha’awanatu Muhmmad and poured hot water on her.
Naija News learnt that Hauwa also poured the hot water on her rival’s four-year-old child, Halima Khalid.
Responding to the incident when communicated on phone, the state Police Command spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the accused woman has been arrested.
Kiyawa said police operatives swung into action after receiving reports of the incident and arrested the culprit while the victims were rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for quick medical attention.
On her part, when interviewed, the mother of the victim, Hajiya Binta Isma’il begged the statement government and other concerned Nigerians to help settle the medical bills of her daughter and granddaughter.
Meanwhile, twenty-year-old Opeyemi Olatoke has regained her freedom after years of being kept in an abandoned building by her own father.
Naija News reports that the lady was locked up in an abandoned house located at Alfa Fire area, Ikirun in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Osun State by her father Samson Olatoke.
