Why Manchester United Are Yet To Bid For Osimhen – Report

Victor Osimhen Rejects Al Hilal’s Offer Again, "European Clubs Failed Him" – Udoh, Ideye React

Manchester United have not made any concrete attempt to sign Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, amid the uncertainty surrounding the player’s future.

Osimhen wants to leave Napoli permanently this summer as he has reportedly decided not to play under the club’s coach, Antonio Conte.

Reports claimed that the Italian Serie A champions want to keep their former talisman at the club following his outstanding loan spell at Galatasaray last season.

However, the 26-year-old Nigerian striker has made up his mind to return to the Turkish club on a permanent deal, which will see him earn around 16 million per season, since other suitors from mainstream Europe have not been forthcoming with an offer.

Amid that, Manchester United were said to be very interested in Osimhen as they continue to search for a solution to their poor goalscoring records in recent seasons.

But Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has made it clear via his YouTube channel that Manchester United have not made any offer for Osimhen due to his wage demand.

“Many of you are asking me if Manchester United can try to hijack this deal,” Romano said.

“I am not aware of Manchester United entering into this one, not just for the 75 million euros, but also because of the salary.

“The real point between Premier League clubs last summer and this summer has always been about the salary.

“Osimhen is on 12 million euros net salary at Napoli and imagine Galatasaray are prepared to pay 16 million euros net per season.

“This is completely different compared to the wage structure they have at Manchester United. This is why at the moment Manchester United have not made a move.”

Earlier today, Naija News reported that Napoli have rejected Galatasaray’s offer for Osimhen, which means that the player has no direction yet with a few weeks left before the commencement of the new season.

Napoli have reportedly written to him to resume pre-season training as he awaits his next move, but he has not done so at the time of writing this report.
