A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe has said the party will teach people a lesson in 2023.
2023 is a politically anticipated year in Nigeria as it will usher in a new President for the country who will take over from Muhammadu Buhari while lawmakers and many state governors will either bow out or test their popularity at the polls again.
Ahead of the political ‘battles’, Igbokwe, a Special Adviser on drainage and water resources to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has praised supporters of the party and President Buhari for their doggedness.
According to him in a Facebook post on Thursday, they have crushed all lies against Buhari and Nigeria. He added without revealing those he was referring to that “we will teach them a lesson in 2023.”
He praised supporters of the APC and the Buhari administration for their courage.
“I salute the courage of all Buharists and APC supporters in Nigeria. They have in actions and deeds crushed and decimated all lies against PMB and Nigeria. We will teach them a lesson in 2023,” Igbokwe submitted.
Meanwhile, Naija News earlier reported that Igbokwe has submitted that President Muhammadu Buhari will get several billions of naira if he decides to go online to seek assistance.
He made the submission in a Facebook post on Thursday.
He stated this in reaction to an earlier social media post by an individual identified as Akin Akinwale who said Buhari will get nothing if he decides to tow the path of superstar singer Davido, who asked his fans to donate money for his birthday and has so far raised over N160m under 24 hours.
But in his response to the netizen, Igbokwe said though it is not in the character of Buhari to solicit funds online, if he however decides to do it, millions will be donated to him in seconds.
