Chief Victor Wayles Egukawhore (JP) has called on sons and daughters of the Isoko nation to come together and sheath their sword to build bridges that will foster unity among themselves.

Naija News reports that the Delta State politician stated this during the celebration of his 56th birthday Thanksgiving held at St. Peters Church in the ancient town of Okpolo (Enhwe), Isoko LGA, Delta state.

Egukawhore, who was also marking his late father’s first year remembrance anniversary, thanked God for the enablement to see a new year and for giving him the privilege to mark his birthday.

He noted how faithful God has been to him throughout the previous year despite the tumultuous year for most people globally.

He further noted that God saw him through despite the multiple challenges he faced last year.

He expressed his displeasure over the attack by the neighbouring community on his Citadel.

According to the Isoko chief, only a united family can attract prosperity and enjoy the same in peace.

Notable dignitaries at the Thanksgiving include; High Chief Tunde Smooth, Chief Johnbull Ejovi, Chief Greg Edor, Olorogun Ovie Festus Agas – Chief of Staff, Sen. James Ebiowou Manager, Sen. Aguariavwodo Emmanuel Edesiri, Sen. Heinken Lokpobri, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori (JP), Hon. Chief Ferguson Onwo, Majority Leader DTHA, amongst many others.
