Veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko has praised President Bola Tinubu’s performance in his last one year in office.
The thespian insisted that he does not regret his decision to vote for Tinubu, saying he is “doing very well” despite the challenges of fixing a battered economy.
Kosoko shared his thoughts during a recent interview on “Curiosity Made Me Ask” with Bae U Barbie.
Kosoko emphasised that repairing the economy is a difficult task and requires time.
He reaffirmed his support for Tinubu, citing their long-standing relationship and Tinubu’s contributions to nation-building.
Kosoko highlighted Tinubu’s role in the struggle for democracy in Nigeria, stating that his name cannot be omitted from the list of those who fought for the current democratic system.
The host asked: “People that voted for Tinubu do you think they should be bullied?”
Kosoko replied: “That is their own business. Their own cup of tea. I am entitled to my opinion. I love the man I voted for. And I know he is doing well.
“He is doing well. If only you know how repairing things are, you will understand that he is doing very well.
“I voted for him because I have known him for a long time. And I have seen quite a lot of his contributions to nation building.
“You cannot even talk about this present democracy that we are all enjoying without saying Tinubu’s name among the people that struggled for us to have it.”
