WWE icon, The Undertaker, real name Mark Calaway, had to undergo emergency heart surgery earlier this year, just a day after WrestleMania, his wife Michelle McCool has revealed.
The chilling revelation came during an episode of the couple’s Six Feet Under podcast, where McCool opened up about her emotional WWE Hall of Fame induction in April.
“I was almost in tears when people asked how I was doing,” McCool said. “They thought it was just the emotions of the speech, but it was because of the heart issues you [Undertaker] had been having.”
She continued: “It ended up being terrifying. The day we got home from WrestleMania, the next morning at 6 a.m., we were at the hospital for heart surgery.”
The Undertaker, 59, retired in 2020 after a legendary three-decade career with WWE and remains active in the wrestling world through his podcast and appearances.
Calvin Bassey Wins Fulham Player of the Season Award
Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has been named Fulham’s Player of the Season for the 2024-2025 campaign following an outstanding run in the Premier League.
Bassey, 24, secured 39.6% of the fan votes, finishing ahead of fellow Nigerian star Alex Iwobi, who claimed second place with 21.5%.
Antonee Robinson (19.9%), Bernd Leno (10.9%), and Saša Lukić (8.1%) completed the top five.
The powerful centre-back featured in 35 league games this season and was instrumental in Fulham’s solid defensive performances. Bassey had narrowly missed out on the award last season, finishing as runner-up.
Paul Pogba Offered Two-Year Deal by Monaco
Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba may be on the verge of a career revival as Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have reportedly offered him a two-year deal.
According to Sky Sports News, Monaco are in advanced discussions with the 32-year-old’s representatives as they seek to bring the World Cup winner back to France.
Pogba has been a free agent since parting ways with Juventus following a doping suspension in 2023. Initially handed a four-year ban, the Frenchman had the sanction reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in early 2024.
Monaco see Pogba as a marquee signing, and the midfielder is said to be seriously considering the offer.
