Transfer Updates: João Félix Reunites With Ronaldo, Rodrygo For Sale, Arsenal Eye Eze, Others

João Félix has completed a transfer move to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in a deal worth €52 million.

João Félix’s deal will keep him at Al Nassr until 2028.

Note that the 26-year-old forward leaves Chelsea after a series of mixed spells across top European clubs. His move to Al Nassr reunites him with his Portugal teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I’m here to spread joy. Let’s win together,” Félix said during his unveiling alongside Al Nassr director Simão Coutinho.

While Félix was previously linked with a return to Benfica, Chelsea’s inability to reach terms with Rui Costa’s side opened the door for Al Nassr.

Reports claimed that Coach Jorge Jesus and Ronaldo played pivotal roles in convincing the Portuguese star to join the Saudi Pro League.

Rodrygo’s Future Hangs in the Balance as Real Madrid Lower Asking Price

Real Madrid are reportedly open to selling Rodrygo this summer, reducing their initial £78 million valuation amid dwindling interest from Premier League giants.

Arsenal and Liverpool, previously keen on the Brazilian winger, have shifted focus to Eberechi Eze and Alexander Isak, respectively.

Tottenham Hotspur, backed by fresh Qatari investment, have now entered the race, offering the 24-year-old a return to Champions League football, even after a disappointing domestic campaign that saw them finish 17th.

With Kylian Mbappé expected to inherit the No.10 shirt and Franco Mastantuono rising fast, Rodrygo may find minutes hard to come by if he stays at the Bernabéu.

Arsenal Still Pushing for Eberechi Eze Despite £68M Clause

Arsenal’s summer spending has already reached £195 million, but Mikel Arteta remains interested in bringing Eberechi Eze back to North London.

The Crystal Palace star, a former Gunners academy player, has a £68 million release clause, which is proving to be a setback in the negotiations.

While Eze is reportedly open to the move, Palace are in no rush to sell, especially amid uncertainty around their European qualification status following UEFA’s sanctions.

Tajon Buchanan Secures Permanent Villarreal Move

After a promising loan spell, Tajon Buchanan has completed a permanent switch from Inter Milan to Villarreal on a five-year deal.

The Canadian international, known for his speed and versatility on either flank, impressed during 13 appearances last season and will now be a key figure for the Yellow Submarine.

Rodrygo’s Replacement? Liverpool Sign Will Wright

Liverpool have completed the signing of Will Wright from Salford City on a three-year deal. Though not a direct Rodrygo replacement, the 21-year-old winger brings energy and raw talent to a squad reshaping under Arne Slot.

Also, Federico Chiesa appears to be on his way out after rejecting a move to Fenerbahçe, with Serie A sides monitoring his situation closely.

Chelsea Trim the Squad: Jackson, Félix Out

With João Félix gone, Chelsea are also exploring options for Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese forward, valued at €50 million, is attracting interest from Barcelona, Manchester United, and Newcastle, though he prefers to remain in the Premier League.

A return to La Liga, where he previously starred with Villarreal, is also on the cards.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s pursuit of Xavi Simons remains active as the club seeks to rebuild around younger, more consistent talent.

Begovic Joins Leicester, Ulreich Extends at Bayern

Leicester City have signed veteran goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on a one-year deal. The 38-year-old brings a wealth of experience from his stints with Everton, QPR, Chelsea, and Stoke.

Over in Germany, Sven Ulreich has extended his contract with Bayern Munich until 2026. The reliable shot-stopper continues to play a key backup role in Bavaria, having made over 100 appearances for the club.
