Sweden striker Alexander Isak has made it clear he still wants to leave Newcastle United for Liverpool in this summer’s transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

The 25-year-old reportedly insists on leaving Newcastle in this summer transfer window even after talks with club chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan and co-owner Jamie Reuben.

Teamtalk reports that Isak’s future may determine whether Liverpool and Newcastle rival each other for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, also 25.

Elsewhere, the Telegraph said Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with Real Betis to send Brazilian winger Antony, 25, back to La Liga on an initial loan that includes an obligation to buy.

United are also in talks to land 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp before the window closes.

Midfield prospect Kobbie Mainoo, 20, faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford. Both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are monitoring his situation, reports Mail.

Fulham have also emerged as a possible destination, while Teamtalk notes that Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, 25, is another name on the Cottagers’ radar.

At Arsenal, Poland defender Jakub Kiwior, 25, is closing in on a loan move to Porto with an obligation to buy, says Sky Sports.

The Gunners could also face interest from Crystal Palace, who are keen on Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott, 22, as they look for a replacement for Eberechi Eze following his move to Arsenal (Football Insider).

In Germany, Bayer Leverkusen and Galatasaray are set to rival Palace for Manuel Akanji. The Independent reports Manchester City could cash in on the 30-year-old Swiss defender this summer.

In Spain, AS reports that Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle with Villarreal for Yeremy Pino, 22, worth around £26m. The same outlet notes Real Madrid could also target Adam Wharton, 21, from Palace, if Dani Ceballos departs.

Liverpool youngster James McConnell, 20, has committed his long-term future to the Reds by signing a new five-year contract. According to The Athletic, the England U-20 midfielder will spend the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Ajax to gain valuable first-team experience.
