Transfer Update On Nigeria Players: Akinsanmiro, Ighodaro, Awaziem, Ufere, Others

Nigerian player, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is set to complete a transfer to Serie B club, Sampdoria from Inter Milan.

Akinsanmiro will spend his first season at the club on loan. Sampdoria will have the option to buy him in next summer’s transfer window. Inter Milan have a buy-back clause in the deal.

Recall that Akinsanmiro joined Inter from Nigeria’s Remo Stars in 2023 and made his debut in February 2024.

Etiosa Ighodaro To Leave Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to loan out Nigerian striker, Etiosa Ighodaro for another season. Ighodaro joined the South African club from Abuja Football Academy in 2021 and is now set to spend the 2024/25 season on loan at Amazulu.

Albert Hilary On His Way Out of NPFL

CS Sfaxien of Tunisia have reached an agreement with Nigeria Premier Football League outfit, Plateau United to sign forward Albert Hilary.

Hilary will put pen to paper on a three-year contract with CS Sfaxien. He scored 12 goals for Plateau United last season and earned an invitation to Nigeria’s U-20 side.

Chinedu Ufere Joins Enyimba

Enyimba have completed the signing of Chinedu Ufere from Nigeria National League side, Sporting Lagos.

Ufere signed a two-year contract with the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions and will have the chance to play on the continent for the first time in his career.

Chidozie Awaziem May Play In MLS

Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem is a target for Major League Soccer (MLS) club, FC Cincinnati.

FC Cincinnati has held talks with Awaziem’s Portuguese club, Boavista, to secure his services in this summer transfer window. Awaziem made 27 league appearances for Boavista last season.

Abia Warriors Want Ogbuagu

Nigeria Premier Football League side, Abia Warriors are leading the race to sign defender, Emmanuel Ogbuagu. Ogbuagu is also wanted by other clubs like Shooting Stars, Enyimba, Katsina United, and Plateau United.
