Premier League club Burnley has signed Manchester City’s legendary defender, Kyle Walker, for a transfer fee worth £5 million.
Kyle Walker, the 35-year-old England right-back has signed a two-year deal with Burnley on Saturday, July 5, after completing his medical at the club on Friday.
Walker will play under coach Scott Parker who was the teammate of the England international at Tottenham Hotspur.
After sealing the deal, Kyle Walker said, “I’m delighted to be here. I can’t wait to come in and add my experience and quality to what looks like an exciting squad.
“When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was an opportunity I jumped at. He’s done an amazing job here, guiding the club back to the Premier League.”
Recall that Kyle Walker played just 15 times for Manchester City during the first half of the 2024-2025 season before he moved to AC Milan in January. Unfortunately, the Italian side refused to make the deal permanent.
During his time, Walker helped Manchester City to win 17 trophies including a treble in 2023.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have completed the signing of Diego Leon from Paraguayan club, Cerro Porteño.
Paraguayan defender played 33 senior games, scoring 4 goals, for his club before he made the move.
Also, Inter Milan have completed the signing of Yoan Bonny from Parma.
Inter paid €24 million plus add-ons to secure the services of the French striker who made his Italian Serie A debut during the 2024-2025 season. He scored 6 goals in 37 league games during that season.
