Nnamdi Kanu: There’s One Funny Senator Who Should Be In Jail – Presidency
The special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has suggested that Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe should be in prison.
According to the presidential media aide, Abaribe who is the Senate Minority Leader is guilty of supporting and associating with Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Adesina made the claim on Thursday night via an article titled ‘weighty matters about our country‘ which he released on his Facebook page.
Though Adesina failed to specifically mention Abaribe’s name in his article, he made glaring references pointing to the fact that he was referring to the Abia Senator.
Pandora Papers: Stop Trying To Mislead Nigerians – Premium Times Fires Peter Obi
An online newspaper Premium Times has accused a former Vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi of trying to mislead Nigerians.
Recall that the Pandora Papers which was created by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) involving over 600 journalists and over 100 media organisations (including Premium Times) had accused Peter Obi of setting up companies as fronts for his business activities, and how he changed the name of the company to PMGG.
But in a statement obtained by Naija News on Thursday, the former governor Anambra State denied breaching any Nigerian law by engaging in secret businesses set up in tax havens.
He said nowhere in the article was he accused of any form of corruption, whether in the form of diversion of public funds or in any other manner during and after his stewardship as the governor of Anambra State.
In a swift response, Premium Times accused the former bank executive of breaching Nigerian laws.
PDP To APC: Wike And His Errand Boys Trying To Blackmail Me – Uche Secondus
The Suspended national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus has taken a swipe at Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
Wike had in a recent interview with BBC Pidgin stated that he moved against Secondus because he failed to perform.
Reacting in a statement issued Thursday by his media adviser, Ike Abonyi, Secondus accused Wike and his aides of trying to blackmail.
He stated that the Rivers governors is only attacking him because he refused to do his bidding by handling the party structure to him.
According to the embattled PDP chieftain, he is in court to clear his name, correct the blackmail and concoctions.
Buhari Speaks On Nigerians’ High Expectation From NNPC
President Muhammadu Buhari has observed that Nigeria expects nothing less from the new Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer, and the Chief Finance Officer of the NNPC other “than the realization of a global national oil company that this nation desires and deserves.”

The big boss of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Walid Jibrin, has advised leaders of the party to be cautious in managing the zoning of its presidential ticket and other elective offices, stating that zoning can destroy the party if not properly handled.
Addressing newsmen at the party’s national secretariat, Jibrin, who is the Board of Trustees Chairman, disclosed that courtesy of their meeting on Friday, the BoT is now fully constituted in line with the constitution of the PDP.

Former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Moghalu, has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Naija News reports that the former presidential candidate had dumped the Young Progressive Party, YPP, after the 2019 election.
Moghalu, who has made his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election, announced his new party on Friday.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has revealed that the pro-Biafra agitator wants his supporters to keep praying for him.
Naija News reports that Ejiofor stated this while giving update after his routine visit to the pro-Biafra agitator in the detention of the Department of State Services (DSS).
While revealing that he visited Kanu in the company of his younger brother, Prince, Ejiofor stated that the defence team his well prepared for the October 21 court resumption.
According to Ejiofor, Nnamdi Kanu is in high spirit and looking forward to his appearance in court.
‘I Saw Hell In Detention’ – El-Zakzaky Narrates Ordeal In DSS Custody
The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, has narrated his ordeal during his incarceration in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Speaking on Thursday when he received the Northern Christian clerics in his Abuja residence, El-Zkzaky said he saw hell during his time in DSS detention.
He added that he miraculously recovered from gunshots allegedly fired at him by the military during the December 2015 attack on his residence in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The IMN leader, however, revealed that he and his wife, Zeenat, still had bullet fragments lodged in their bodies to date, and still suffer from the traumatic experience.
