Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari and other high-ranking political officials in the country over how they’ve been breaking their Ramadan fast.
The former lawmaker and governorship aspirant pointed out that President Buhari and others like him have refused to break their fast with the poor and the masses that voted them into power but instead have chosen to do it among themselves.
Sani in a Twitter post on Wednesday wrote: “They don’t break Ramadan fast with the poor that voted for them.”

When he was attacked in the comment section as also practicing what he is preaching against, Sani replied that the person doesn’t know him as he doesn’t do such.
Naija News reports that the President in the course of the ongoing 2022 Ramadan fast has hosted different categories of people to Ramadan fast-breaking dinner at the Aso Rock Villa.
The latest in the series came on Tuesday when he hosted leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other politicians to iftar dinner at the banquet hall of the Villa.
Speaking during the event, President Buhari charged political parties in Nigeria to keep aside their differences and join his administration to conquer security challenges in the country.
He said: “Without mass, popular support to our hard-working Armed Forces, it will take us much longer to finish off the successful war we are waging against terrorism, banditry and kidnapping. Our country must be kept safe for progress and prosperity to be entrenched.
“I look forward to seeing the reflection of this spirit in the relationship between the parties and the government, especially as the electioneering season will soon be upon us.”
