Segun Sowunmi, a former spokesman to ex-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the reconciliation between the suspended governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara and his estranged political godfather, Nyesom Wike.
Recall that the duo had announced they had made peace and were willing to work together after meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Thursday night.
Speaking after the meeting, Wike said all aggrieved parties have agreed to bury the hatchet and work together.
The Minister declared that peace has returned to Rivers State.
Naija News reports that Wike and Fubara have had a strained relationship since the governor assumed office in 2023.
The political crisis between the duo led to Tinubu suspending Fubara while declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State.
Reacting to the reconciliation between Wike and Fubara on his X account, Sowunmi opined that Tinubu’s leadership skills should be studied.
Showunmi said, “This is how to lead! A leader must resolve issues, not make them worse. There is nothing wrong with studying Asiwaju @officialABAT.
“After all, we study leaders in other climes. “It is a weakness and colonial mentality to think that one of our own cannot be learned. Mr. President, you do this one.”
