The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Toareed Lagbaja, has told men of the Nigeria Army to embrace technology and innovation.
Toareed Lagbaja said the officers of the Army must be ready to adapt to a rapidly changing operating environment.
Lagbaja stated that the role of technology in enhancing the operations of the Nigeria Army cannot be overemphasized.
The Chief of Army Staff stated this while speaking at a seminar with the theme “Leveraging digital transformation for enhanced operational effectiveness in the Nigerian Army Operations Safe Haven OPSH, in Perspective“.
Represented by Major General Abdusalam Abubakar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3rd Division, as well as Commander Operations Safe Haven (OPSH), Lagbaja praised Operation Safe Heaven for their efforts in ensuring security of the country.
“It must be noted that transformation is not merely adopting new technologies rather it is about fostering the culture of innovation and encouraging adaptability in a rapidly changing operating environment.
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to this event which is a testament to our shared commitment to embracing innovation. I am particularly glad to see that the target audience for the seminar are the junior and middle cadre leaders capable of driving the technological advancement of the NA,” the Nation quoted Lagbaja.
