Super Eagles' Ola Aina Extends Contract With Nottingham Forest

Super Eagles of Nigeria defender, Ola Aina, has extended his contract with Premier League club, Nottingham Forest, earlier today, July 7.

Ola Aina, whose previous contract was due to expire at the end of next season, signed a three-year deal with Nottingham Forest. This means that the 28-year-old Nigerian international is expected to stay at the club until 2028.

Aina extended his contract after the club’s coach, Nuno Espirito Santo signed a new three-year deal with the side.

Some other players who helped Nottingham Forest finish 7th last season have also extended their stay at the club. Some of those players include: Neco Williams, Chris Wood and Murillo.

After signing a new deal with Nottingham Forest, Aina said: “I can’t wait to continue this journey with the club. It’s always felt like a home ever since I joined and I’m happy to be here.

“Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work.”

Since Ola Aina joined Nottingham Forest from Torino on a free transfer in 2023, the former Chelsea defender has scored two goals in 59 games.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis said: “Ola has skill, determination and character in abundance.

“He epitomises the culture and hard work we expect from everyone associated with Forest.

“He has had a big influence since his arrival here and we look forward to continuing that journey together to help us achieve incredible things.”
