Kasimpasa and Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo is excited to return to training after a significant period away due to injury.
Kenneth Omeruo has been recovering since he sustained an injury during Kasimpasa’s intense 3-3 draw against Galatasaray in October 2024. In the said match, he played for 60 minutes.
The Nigerian announced his comeback on social media, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to train again. “It’s been a challenging few months. I’m glad to be running again. I can’t wait to start supporting my team. I’ve truly missed it,” Omeruo shared on X.
This season, he has appeared in five league matches for Kasimpasa, showing promise for his contributions moving forward.
In other news, Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho has encouraged his teammates to enhance their finishing in front of goal.
His comments came after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League over the weekend. Sancho played a key role by assisting Cole Palmer for Chelsea’s first goal during the match at Selhurst Park.
Following Palmer’s goal, Chelsea had several opportunities to secure a more comfortable lead, but Palace equalized late, with Jean-Phillipe Mateta finding the net.
Reflecting on the match, Sancho acknowledged the disappointment of missing out on three points. “It’s frustrating not to take all three points,” he told Chelsea website.
“We played well overall and had control for most of the game. Unfortunately, one mistake led to a goal. Moving forward, we need to sharpen our finishing. We created plenty of chances, and it’s disappointing we couldn’t find another goal to secure the win.”
