All the Super Eagles players invited for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya have arrived in Uyo for the double-header.
Recall that the Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen invited 23 players for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
On Wednesday, the trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Chidera Ejuke, and Bright Osayi-Samuel reported to the team’s camp located at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state to complete the number of invited players.
The newly arrived players are expected to join their teammates in a training session scheduled for Wednesday night.
In the meantime, it has been announced that the media and members of the public will not be permitted to attend the Super Eagles training session today. The closed training session will take place at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Note that the Super Eagles will take on Libya at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024. Four days later, they will fly to Libya for the second leg on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles are currently topping Group D of the qualifiers with four points in the two games, while Libya is bottom of the group with just a point in two games.
