A self-acclaimed disciple of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa, has reacted to the death of the former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Obadiah Mailafia.
It was reported that the former presidential candidate died in the early hours of Sunday at the National Hospital in Abuja.
The development has stirred reactions from different quarters of the country, with some raising questions over the death of Mailafia.
Ekpa in a post on his Twitter account suggested that Mailafia may have been assassinated.
Recall that the former deputy governor of CBN accused some political office holders of being responsible for terrorism in Nigeria.
Ekpa in his statement suggested that the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and his “Jihadist cabals” may have assassinated Mailafia.
He wrote, “If Dr Mailafia has been assassinated by @NGRPresident @MBuhari and his Jihadists cabals, that will tell you how hard he hit them with a week sit at the home proposal for all Christians in Nigeria.
“They don’t want to see him live and achieve that civil disobedience and be another Mahatma G.”
