Former Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the gruesome killing of one Reverend Dauda Bature of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Kaduna State.
The lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the 8th National Assembly said in a post on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, December 11, that Nigerians now lives at the mercy of bandit terrorists.
Naija News understands that Reverend Bature’s abductors had demanded a sum of N10 million Naira as ransom but he was killed after the payment was delayed.
Reacting to the sad incident, Sani took to his social media page and wrote: “The gruesome killing of Reverend Dauda Bature of the ECWA Church Nariya, Igabi LG Kaduna State by bandits is tragic, unfortunate and condemnable.
“This is another horrible chapter in our history. It’s now clear that everyone lives at the mercy of terrorists. For how long will this continue? Where are those that swore an oath to protect and to defend?”

Meanwhile, Katsina State Deputy Speaker’s younger sister, Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki has escaped from her abductor’s den after spending 105 days in captivity.
The lawmaker while confirming the development disclosed that she escaped during an attack on the bandits’ den by military officers.
Bandit terrorists had abducted Asma’u Dalhatu on September 4, when they invaded Tafoki village in Faskari local government area of Katsina state, Naija News reports.
It was gathered that the terrorist attacked the town around 1 am and headed straight to the village head’s residence, which is the family house of the Dalhatus.
The terrorists upon their invasion of the residence kidnapped Asma’u and her sister.
