Shehu Sani Reacts To Death Of Arthur Nzeribe, Reveals The Kind Of Man He Was

A former Kaduna Central Senator and 2023 governorship aspirant, Shehu Sani has reacted to the death of a Nigerian politician, Arthur Nzeribe.

Taking to his Twitter account, Senator Sani on Sunday evening said many of the current generation of Nigerians may not know the kind of person Nzeribe was.

The former lawmaker went ahead to describe the late billionaire who is believed to have played a key role in the annulment of the popular June 12 presidential election as someone you shouldn’t bring close or keep far away.

He also described him as a controversial maverick.

Chief Arthur Nzeribe; young people may not know who he was; by the time they came of age, he had retreated to a private life. He was an unforgettable factor in our nation’s history. A controversial maverick & a man you shouldn’t bring close nor keep him afar. May his soul rest in peace,” Sani wrote.

It will be recalled Naija News had earlier reported that Senator Arthur Nzeribe is dead.

He was said to have died on Saturday evening at the age of 83 after battling an undisclosed illness.

It is understood that Nzeribe, who was the longest-serving Senator from Imo, had been on life support for a while.

The deceased was a First Republic politician who represented Imo West at the National Assembly.

Nzeribe had hit a mega fortune at age 22, becoming a major player in the nation’s financial sector.

Providence smiled at him and he became so powerful and influential in Nigeria’s political landscape.

He was elected a Senator to represent Orlu in 1999.
