Fulham have completed the signing of Sander Berge from Burnley in a transfer deal worth £25 million.

Sander Berge, a Norwegian international, has committed to a five-year contract with an option for the club to extend it by an additional 12 months.

The initial payment for Berge is set at £20 million, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.

Berge, aged 26, previously played for Sheffield United before joining Burnley in 2023.

Following Burnley’s relegation to the Championship, Berge was recognized as the club’s player of the year.

Speaking about his move, Sander Berge said, “It feels fantastic. It’s been a little bit back and forth the last few weeks, but I’m finally sitting here in the shirt in this beautiful stadium, knowing that my future is here, which feels great.”

Berge’s transfer marks Fulham’s fourth signing of the transfer window, following the acquisitions of Emile Smith Rowe, Jorge Cuenca, and Ryan Sessegnon.

Despite making 37 appearances for Burnley last season, Berge has been omitted from the Clarets’ lineup in both of their Championship fixtures this term.

Note that the midfielder has also amassed 46 caps while representing the Norwegian national team. He might make his Premier League debut for Fulham when the club host Leicester City on August 24.
