Nigerians on social media have reacted to the video of suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris who was released from the custody of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC reuniting with his family.
Recall that the anti-graft agency arrested and released Idris on bail for his alleged involvement in an N174 billion fraud.
The development was confirmed by the EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren while speaking with Punch on Thursday morning.
Uwujaren said “The suspended Accountant-General is out on bail. He was released last night.”
Idris was arrested on the 16th of May in connection with a series of frauds that was initially thought to be N84 billion.
Idris on Wednesday night reunited with his family after spending over a week at the custody of the anti-graft agency.
In the video that surfaced captured moment family of the suspended Accountant-general was welcomed by family and friends, this including his young daughter.

Reacting to the video, many Nigerians expressed disappointment, questioning the grounds on which the anti-graft agency freed the accountant -general.
