A truck driver, identified as Sirizani Butau has been hailed a hero after pulling eight people out of a burning bus and sustaining burns in the process.
According to reports, Sirizani Butau jumped in to rescue commuters along Harare-Mutare highway in Zimbabwe on Dec. 24 following an accident.
While rescuing passengers, Sirizani Butau sustained serious injuries. He is currently at the hospital receiving treatment and donations are pouring in for him.
Although, over four people have been confirmed dead in the accident by the Zimbabwe police force.
But for Sirizani’s intervention, there would have been more casualties.
The 8 people he pulled out are the only survivors.
Both Zimbabweans and Nigerians on social media hailed Sirizsni, calling him a hero, while some expressing willingness to donate to him.
