Embattled Yoruba film actor, Olarenwaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha has begged that he should be allowed to kill himself instead of going to jail over rape allegations against him.
Naija News had reported earlier that senior officials at the Lagos State Police Command have disclosed that Baba Ijesha may be granted freedom on Friday following a directive for his release.
The report has, however, stirred reactions on social media as Concerned Nigerians joined hundreds of others to demand justice for the 14-year-old girl allegedly violated by the actor since she was seven years of age.
With expression of guilt, Baba Ijesha in a video shared on Twitter by Concerned Nigerians on Thursday, said he is sorry for abusing the girl and begged that he should be forgiven.
The actor when he noticed he pleas are falling on deaf ears begged that he should be allowed to kill himself instead of facing the penalty for the crime he committed seven years ago.

“We are here at Panti, and he still here. They are not bailing Baba Ijesha, we are here, and we gave sorted it out,” she said in her Instagram live.”
