Queen Usa Rosemary Michika, former Miss Petit, and a practicing young Legal Luminary has entered a mega partnership with the Queens Connect Africa and other notable Organisations in Nigeria towards empowerment of Fifty (50) young females with viable Skills to enhance their Financial Freedom and Self Reliance.
Other Members of the Partnership include the National Youth Council of Nigeria, the Youth Advancement Initiative and the youtHouse naija incorporated. This Project has been designed to equip the beneficiaries with relevant and contemporary economically viable Skills to help them in sustainable Income Generation.
The THEME of the Project is “ONE WOMAN, ONE SKILL; Securing the Dignity of Womanhood through Skills Empowerment” and has been scheduled to run between November 16 through 19, 2021
In an interview with a cross section of the Press, the Young Queen Barrister Usa Michika was quoted as saying “In today’s Society ,the Youth is marginally confronted with so many Economical Challenges. This is not because they lack Education but simply due to lack of Specialized Skills or development of Skills to adequately resolve challenges. The reality on ground is that people can no longer depend on White Collar Jobs to survive in the present economic situation, but to make use of Skills to create Wealth, especially now that the Government does not have the resources tackle the escalating rate of Unemployment. Again, in order not to enslave oneself with
Salary or Income that barely addresses one’s need, the idea of Self Empowerment has then become an issue of utmost importance”.
She further said “Our programme “Empowering the Youths through Skill Acquisition” will be a measure designed to increase the degree of autonomy and self determination in our youths and in communities towards enabling them to actualize their Dreams and Aspirations”.
She stated the MISSION being to give adequate Moral and Entrepreneurial Training to the Youth in order to achieve an Economically sustainable Society, with the Model at Skills Acquisition Programme is focused on training eligible Youths on Professional Skills such as:
• Makeup Art and Gele Tying
• Wig Making/ Styling
• Hairdressing
• Fashion Design
Quee Usa confidently asserted that all these come with core Entrepreneurial and Moral Training.
We intend to make a huge difference by offering a COMPLETELY UNIQUE Training Model.
She went on to state the Objective as follows:
To promote the development of the Youth with Self Decision Making Skills, positive sense of self.

✓ To build Self-reliant Youth,
✓ To develop Entrepreneurial Abilities.
