Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, and Georgian winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, could link up at Paris Saint Germain in the forthcoming season.
Victor Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia were the most talked about duo in European football during the 2022-2023 season in which they partnered to win the Scudetto for Napoli for the first time in 33 years.
Unfortunately for the duo, they couldn’t do much together last season as injuries and international commitments didn’t allow Osimhen to be available as much as expected.
Before last season ended, Napoli made it clear that the 25-year-old Nigeria international is available for sale months after extending his contract with the club.
In the contract which will expire on June 30, 2026, there is a release clause worth €130 million which Osimhen’s suitors must trigger to acquire him.
However, reports claimed that Napoli are open to lowering it due to his suitors’ unwillingness to pay for it.
Amid that, Corriere dello Sport reported that Paris Saint Germain who just lost their talisman, Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, are the frontrunners for Osimhen’s signature. A Saudi Pro League club, Al Ahli are also waiting on Osimhen to accept an offer already on the table.
The publication claimed that PSG are ready to offer €110 million for Osimhen and €90 million for Kvaratskhelia this summer.
The Georgian winger is open to joining PSG but Victor Osimhen has made public his desire to play for a Premier League club after exiting Napoli.
Hence, it is left to see if Napoli will be willing to sell their two best players in the summer transfer window and whether or not Osimhen will settle for PSG.
