Real Madrid are seeking to capitalize on their recent successes, holding both the La Liga and Champions League titles, by boosting the stadium’s attractiveness not only for football matches but also for various sponsorships, events, and other non-sporting activities.
This decision comes on the heels of a comprehensive multi-billion euro renovation of the stadium that was completed just a year ago, which significantly upgraded its facilities and infrastructure.
Real Madrid believe that by simplifying the name of the stadium, they can better position themselves in the competitive sports market, engaging a broader audience and attracting more commercial partnerships.
