President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of individuals to fill several key positions in some federal universities.
Naija News reports that President Tinubu appointed Hon. Chisom D. Obih to the Governing Council of Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State.
He also appointed Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye to serve on the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The President also approved the appointment of key officers for the Federal University of Health Sciences in Tsafe, Zamfara state.
He named Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology located in Tsafe, Zamfara State.
President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa as the University’s Registrar, Usman Nakazalle Sanusi as the Bursar, and Dr. Shehu Aminu Liman as the Librarian.
Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reversed his earlier reappointment of Dr. Muheeba Dankaka as the Chairperson of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) and replaced her with Hon. Ayo Omidiran, a former member of the House of Representatives.
Naija News reports that a press statement by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had earlier announced Dankaka’s nomination, but a subsequent release disclosed that the President withdrew it because her tenure was dogged by controversy.
Tinubu also appointed Mohammed Musa as the Commission’s secretary while retaining Kayode Oladele from Ogun as commissioner.
