President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday approved the reappointment of Prof Adekunle Ajayi as the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti.
Naija News reports that Ajayi’s reappointment was made known by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire.
Ehanire said Buhari was satisfied with “the performances of Prof Ajayi, which are geared towards strengthening the health system and improving the health service delivery to Nigerians since he was first appointed the CMD of the hospital.”
According to a statement by FETHI Corporate Affairs Head, Francis Bank-Akinnuoye, the minister stated this onThursday while presenting the letter of renewal of appointment to Ajayi, a professor of medicine.
Reacting, Ajayi thanked the president and the minister for the renewed confidence in him to continue to serve the country as the Chief executive of FETHI.
Ajayi also thanked the hospital’s Board of Management and members of staff “for their prayers and support”.
He promised to double his efforts in ensuring that Nigerians continued to enjoy good service delivery at the hospital.
