The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police command has uncovered details of a popular crossdresser, known as ‘Abuja Area Mama’, who was murdered in the nation’s capital earlier this month.
Naija News recalls that the lifeless body of the crossdresser was discovered along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway early in the morning on August 8.
The FCT Police commenced an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In a statement on Tuesday, the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, said preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased is a 33-year-old boy identified as Ifeanyi Chukwu-Agah Benedict.
Adeh said the deceased hails from Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and resided at Dapé in the Karmo Area of Abuja before his sudden demise.
The PPRO added that Ifeanyi’s family have also been contacted and are aiding the police with the necessary information.
Police Officer Killed As Gunmen Attack Patrol Team In Delta
In other news, an officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Corporal Chibuzoer Ojubole, has been tragically killed in a recent assault by gunmen at a patrol unit in Delta State.
Naija News learnt that on August 18, the group of armed individuals attacked a police patrol unit along Commissioner Road off UTI, Effurun, within the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
Reports had it that the assailants ambushed the police patrol van, targeting the driver, Corporal Ojobule, while other officers managed to escape the attack.
However, it was unclear as of the time of filing this report, whether the assailants were able to escape with weapons from the attacked police van.
