Operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID) have handed over two children of Uzoamaka Ohiri to her ex-husband OAP Chinedu Ani popularly known as Nedu.
Ohiri was sent a letter of invitation signed by the Deputy Commissioner of police in charge of the SCID, Fayode Adegoke, and asked to see CSP Margareth Ighodalo, PUNCH reports.
She was asked to bring two of her three children which were subsequently handed over to the comedian.
One of Ohiri’s relatives who preferred to remain anonymous said: “Can you imagine the Police are interfering in a civil matter because Nedu is influential?
“This is nothing but oppression. Why should children be brought to SCID? Now, they have been handed over to Nedu. This is sad.”
When contacted, Ighodalo stated that questions should be directed to the Police Public Relations Officer.
On his part, Nedu asked PUNCH to stay out of his family affairs.
Naija News recalls that Ohiri called Nedu out for domestic violence and he denied the allegation while also posting a DNA results showing that the first of the couple does not biologically belong to him.
The comedienne ex-wife then replied with a post saying that she never told Nedu that the child belonged to him.
She later said she had not intentionally given another man’s child to her ex-husband and gave a detailed account of how she broke up with her ex-boyfriend and immediately began dating Nedu.
