Two Cameroonians have been apprehended with deadly explosives in Akwa Ibom state.
The foreigners, Naija News understands were arrested during a stop and search by operatives of the State Police Command.
A statement made available to newsmen confirmed the names of the suspects as Adede De Black and Fombutu. The two according to reports were arrested alongside an indigene of Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State whose name is identified as Bernard Mfam.
Speaking on their arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Mcdon said the suspects were arrested by men of the AIG Border Patrol Squad along Okobo-Oron highway.
He explained further that the suspects were found with explosives including two bags of dynamites, charms and other dangerous weapons.
The breakthrough, the police say, was as a result of the introduction of new innovations in the security architecture pioneered by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Amegieme Andrew, in synergy with other security agencies.
In another news, a Nigerian man identified as Chisom popularly known as Mikky Miguel has died after he was reportedly poisoned by a friend in Indonesia.
According to Prince Ebukason Victor, a friend of the deceased via his Facebook page on Monday, October 18, disclosed that the late Chisom, father of two, who is married to an Indonesian national, had only just buried his late father a few months ago before the sad occurrence.
Sharing photos of Chisom and his family, Prince Ebukason Victor wrote; “What a Wicked Word, he buried his Father few months ago and now they have to poison him in Indonesia. Some people have the mind ohhh to take a life you didn’t give. What will you gain by k!lling someone who did nothing to you, because of jealousy and you have to poison him to end his Life half way. Guys let’s be very careful who we hang around with not everybody that call you blood or laugh with you are real , some are dëvil. Mikky May your soul rest in peace.”
