Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Jonathan was personally received on arrival by President Buhari.
According to the President’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad, Jonathan was at the Villa to brief Buhari on the political crisis in Mali.
He wrote on Twitter: “President @MBuhari receives former President @GEJonathan today. The former leader was at the State House, Abuja to brief the President over the new political crisis in Mali.
An ECOWAS delegation led by GEJ was in Bamako, the capital of Mali on Tuesday, for mediation.”
Naija News reports Jonathan is the ECOWAS special envoy to Mali.
