The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Douye Diri are leading by over 90,000 votes in the ongoing governorship election in Bayelsa State.
Governor Diri who is seeking reelection, has so far polled 147,958 votes while Timipre Sylva, his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, trails with 57,344 votes, leaving a margin of 90,614.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has so far announced results in five Local Government Areas (LGAs) out of the eight in Bayelsa.
