The Youths of Oriade LGA in Oriade / Obokun Federal Constituency of Osun State have vehemently voiced their displeasures over the continued marginalization of the Area in Political permutations of the State, and the repeated use of Party Mechineries by Hon. Oluwole Oke to suppress the wishes and mandate of the People.
Speaking on behalf of the Osun Youths for Good Governance and Democracy, a group of strong and renowned Youth Leaders of the Constituency which included Comr. Taiwo Kehinde, Owolabi Akeem, Ashaolu Ojo, Olomo Jello, Ojo Olawale, and a host of others, stressed that despite the fact that Ipetu Ijesha commands almost the highest Voting Strength of the Constuency yet, owing to the manipulations of Hon. Oluwole Oke who for personal and selfish reasons keeps undermining the interest of the People of Ipetun Ijesha in Oriade LGA, so he can perpetuate himself as the Member Representing the Constuency at the Federal House of Representatives; which he has enjoyed for four Terms running.
The angry Youth Leaders called on both the State and National Leaders of the Party to urgently intervene in this matter before it results to implosion of the Party within the Constituency.
The Youths described the situation as highly provocative and very unbearable, further stating that Hon. Oke has recently started another plot to move the House of Assembly slot to another Area, all in the bid to unjustly control affairs of the Party, which they avow to resist with every fibre of their being.
The Local Government Chairman, State PRO and Local Government Women Leader comes from the same place were he insists on picking the Candidate for State House of Assembly , leaving the Community that produces the highest votes in oriade with nothing.
Revealing that the LGA has remained a stronghold of the PDP over time, with standing track record of loyalty to State and National Leadership, however, threatened that they will not continue with the political humiliation, oppression and marginalization suffered in the hands of Hon. Oke. Hence, the outcry to the State and National leaders to come to their rescue.
The Youths equally used the occasion to pass a Vote of Confidence on Comr. Chief Gbenga Ajayi; praising him for his relentless effort and steadfastness in promoting the PDP in Oriade, and using his personal and scarce resources to sustain the activities of the Party in the LGA, while working assiduously for the victory of Sen. Adeleke.
They declared that the Youths and Young People of Oriade unanimously support Chief Gbenga Ajayi to emerge as the Constuency Representative in the Federal House come the next General Elections.
