- Trainees Shower Encomiums on Governor Akeredolu
In continuation of the execution of the REDEEMED AGENDA of the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, led administration, the Ondo State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development under its Commissioner, Otunba Bamidele Ologunloluwa had commenced the year with a two-day capacity training of seventy(70) Ondo Youths on surveillance installation, operation and maintenance.
The training which began on the 25th of January, 2023, saw about 70 Youths drawn from the eighteen local governments of the state gathered at the hall of the Ministry of Youth and Sports complex, along Ilesha expressway to attend the training.
The training which was done in partnership with Dahua Tech., a Chinese company famous for CCTV camera manufacturing, installation and maintenance, witnessed the presence of seasoned CCTV camera Engineers from the company on ground to train the youths.
Declaring the training open, Bamidele Ologunloluwa, the Ondo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports commended the zeal with which Akeredolu is working to ensure that no Ondo state youth is not self reliant or a creator of job(s) before the end of the administration.
“We must give credit to our dear Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, for his love for Ondo Youths. Year 2022 witnessed a lot of entrepreneurship trainings which have already begun to yield positive results. Here is 2023 and we are starting with contemporary skill acquisition in CCTV camera installation and maintenance. You will agree with me that the best gift you can give a man is to teach him how to fish, rather than giving him free fish. As Aketi has promised, and as we are experiencing it, no Ondo Youth will not be self reliant or a creator of job before the end of this administration. So, this is another opportunity provided by the Ondo State Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to build self reliant youths. I therefore enjoin all trainees to pay rapt attention and grasp all that would be taught in this training.”
The training ended on the 26th of January, 2023, with classes on material costing and profit maximization.
The trainees after the training showed their appreciation to the Ondo State Government, whom through the Ministry of Youth and Sports came up with such a brilliant idea. Many of them said that they have been equipped with what they will rely on for life to become great in the society.
