The lawmaker representing Imo West Senatorial District and former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, on Sunday was arrested for breaking the seal of the Royal Palm Estate.
The former Governor led his loyalists to break into estate alleged to be owned by his wife, Nkechi which had earlier been sealed by the state government.
Okorocha was said to have broken the chain and seal of the estate to recover the property seized by the state government from his wife, Nkechi.
The incident which happened around 5 pm along Akchi road in Owerri, also led to damaging of vehicles and injuring persons.
Sources at the Police headquarters which spoke with Vanguard said the former Imo State Governor would be charged to court tomorrow.
Recall that the State Police Command while confirming Okorocha’s arrest said the immediate past Imo State Governor was arrested for violently breaking into the government-sealed Royal palm spring estate along Akachi road in Owerri.
