Nasarawa United’s technical director, Kabiru Dogo, is satisfied with his team’s performance after they overcame a challenging stretch with a 2-1 victory against Bendel Insurance in their matchday 14 fixture.
The Solid Miners ended a four-game winless streak in the NPFL, which Dogo sees as a testament to their hard work and dedication.
“I am incredibly proud of the team’s effort,” Dogo stated in a post-match interview. “We have worked tirelessly to improve our performance, and it’s gratifying to see the players’ commitment rewarded. With this renewed confidence and momentum, we aim to build on this victory and move up the Premier League table.”
This win lifted Nasarawa United to the 18th position in the league.

Rivers United’s technical adviser, Finidi George, reflected on his side’s 1-1 draw against Sunshine Stars, where they failed to capitalize on several goal-scoring opportunities.
Timothy Zechariah opened the scoring, but the team could not convert additional chances, allowing Sunshine Stars to equalize through Promise Awosanmi.
“Had we converted our chances, the outcome might have been different,” Finidi acknowledged. “It’s crucial we learn from this experience as we prepare for our upcoming match against Kano Pillars at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt. We must be more clinical in front of goal moving forward.”
Following the draw, Rivers United slipped to second place on the league table.

Bendel Insurance interim coach Greg Ikhenoba expressed his disappointment after their 2-1 loss to Nasarawa United but appreciated the officiating during the match.
