Heartland Football Club is on the brink of making a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Having been relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season, the five-time NPFL champions, Heartland, are now set to secure their place back in the top flight.
The Naze Millionaires have reportedly finalized an agreement with Beyond Limits Academy for the purchase of the club’s slot in the top league.
Beyond Limits Academy, who clinched the NNL title last season and earned promotion, shares the same owner with another NPFL side, Remo Stars.
Due to the potential challenge of owning two clubs in the NPFL, the owner, Kunle Soname, has reportedly agreed to sell the slot of Beyond Limits Academy to Heartland.
This development is pending approval from the NPFL according to the Daily Post.
