Enyimba of Aba have successfully secured the signing of Austin Onyemaechi ahead of the upcoming 2024-2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The official announcement was made by the NPFL giants on their social media platforms.

Onyemaechi has committed to a three-year contract with Enyimba. He joined the Aba Elephants from their longtime rivals, Enugu Rangers, and has begun training with his new teammates.

Loveday Anugbuo Leaves Nigerian League Football

Nigerian goalkeeper Loveday Anugbuo has completed his transfer to Beninoise football club, Ayema FC.

Anugbuo penned a two-year contract with his new team and was warmly welcomed during his unveiling earlier today, August 7, 2024.

He previously played for Warri Wolves in the Nigeria National League (NNL) before embarking on this new journey with Ayema FC.

Anugbuo will be working under the experienced guidance of coach Samson Unanuel who had a stint with an NNL club, Dakkada FC.

El-Kanemi Warriors Hunting For Home Ground

The CAF Confederation Cup match between Newly promoted NPFL club, El-Kanemi Warriors and Dadje FC of Benin could take place at Remo Stars stadium in Ikenna.

The first leg of the preliminary round was originally planned to take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

However, reports claimed that CAF did not approve the stadium, prompting a potential hosting of the game in Ikenne.

The scheduled date is next weekend, with the return fixture set to be held in Cotonou on August 25.

The winner of this encounter will face RS Berkane of Morocco in the second preliminary round.
