A large group of Youth Leaders and Young People under suspicious of the Northern Nigerian Youth Leaders-NNYLF has today Tuesday publicly endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, AHEAD of the 2027 Presidential Election.
In a grand ceremony held in Maitama, Abuja, at the Head Office of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), this declaration was made in the presence of renowned Northern Youth Leaders and Stakeholders who spoke passionately about the policies and achievements of President Tinubu, describing him as a brave leader that is laying solid foundation for a prosperous and sustainable future for the nation and the Youth in particular
.
The event was graced by top and emerging young leaders from across the Federation and all major tribes in Nigeria, with all well dressed in their various traditional attires.
Notable among the dignitaries were Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, Former Secretary General of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, who currently serves as the Director General of the Tinubu Support Group. Also in attendance were Mazi Oscar David KALU, popularly known as the Rising-Son, a Former Vice President and Former Member Board of Trustees of the National Youth Council of Nigeria. Equally in attendance were Alh. Billy Tafawa Balewa – grandson of the late premier Prime Minister of Nigeria, Hon Bagudu Joseph- Former Vice President North West of NYCN, Comr. Hamisu Dass, Comr. Ubale of Gombe State, Amb. Abraham Kwangfan the Prime Minister of the United African Tribal Embassy, Amb. Ade Mario Emmanuel who is the Director General of the Coalition of Nigerian Youth in Security and Safety Affairs-CONYSSA and host of others.
Addressing the gathering, the National Chairman of NNYLF Comr. Murtala Mohammed Garba who is reported to be nicknamed Gamji based on his ideological background and philosophical orientation, revealed that the Forum is totally devoid of ethnic biased, religion intolerance or Political Party rancour, stressing that all those factors were tools to divide the People of Nigeria, but that the Forum stood strongly united in purpose to harness the advantages and opportunities in the nations diversity, which he asserted to be what President Tinubu is pursuing and achieving remarkably.
“Let us set aside ethnicity, religious biases and unpatriotic partisan extremism come 2027. Let us support President enmasse, and not allow regional sentiments to blind us from appreciating the good policies and solid foundation for a new Nigerian through the Renewed Hope Agenda” he was quoted.
Taking turn to speak, Hon. Bagudu Joseph, a renowned leader of the Northern Stakeholders stressed the uniqueness of the gathering, pointing that some persons like him had never supported or voted the ruling All Progressive Congress, but that President Tinubu has succeeded in winning the confidence of majority of Stakeholders from his side of the North and, for the first time, they have resolved to support Tinubu’s re-election by 2027.
The Director General of the Tinubu Support Group, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, appreciated the Forum and all participants for what he described as sincere and selfless commitment.
The Director General assured the Youth Leaders that the Renewed Hope Agenda is being religious pursued by the Federal Government and that the government of President Tinubu remained focused on the overall well-being and development of the People, as well as uplifting the Youth. He posited that no Government in the past has mainstreamed Young People as the Administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Yakasai concluded by extending hands of fellowship to the Organization and promising unhindered partnership at all times.
The highpoint of the event was presentation of a dummy cheque of Two Hundred Thousand Naira as vow of the NNYLF to take UP responsibility of purchase of the APC Presidential Nomination Form for President Tinubu to run in the 2027 Election.
