Northern Stakeholders To Hold Meeting Next Three Weeks - Bashir Ahmed

Former Digital Communication Assistant to former president, Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmed, has said there will be a high-level Northern stakeholders meeting in the next three weeks.

Bashir Ahmed said the meeting became important following events that happened in the region during the #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protest.

On his X handle, Ahmed announced the meeting while interpreting in English, an interview between British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Hausa and Vice President, Kashim Shettima.

Speaking on the protest, Kashim Shettima told BBC the federal government was aware of the high cost of living and economic challenges.

He added that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has taken measures to address the economic challenges and hunger.

The former aide to Buhari, Bashir Ahmad said the interview of the Vice President was timely and strategic, as it effectively conveyed key messages to Northerners.

Vice President Kashim Shettima indicated that a high-level meeting of the northern stakeholders, which will include governors, politicians, business executives and traditional leaders, will take place within the next three weeks to discuss issues related to the region.

“Vice President Kashim Shettima’s interview with BBC Hausa was highly strategic and timely; he articulately and effectively conveyed a multitude of key messages, and the interview has so far reached a wide audience across the northern region,” Bashir said.
