Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be hit by turbulence which will crash the party before the 2023 general elections.
The Governor also urged Nigerians to reject APC which he described as an ‘evil’ party and vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
While submitting that both the PDP and APC will have their fair share of turbulence ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Rivers State Governor maintained that PDP will survive but the APC will be submerged.
Wike made his view known on Thursday during an interview with the African Independent Television (AIT) in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
In his words, “There is turbulence that will not have a crash, which is a normal turbulence. There is turbulence that there will likely lead to a crash. Our own turbulence in PDP is the normal turbulence, which I believe we will get through it, but APC turbulence is a turbulence that is likely to lead to a crash.”
He added that “Nigerians are tired of the misrule of APC and will not allow their evil to continue beyond 2023.
“Nigerians are waiting. Nigerians cannot have this type of evil come up again in 2023. We will be doing a disservice to Nigerians to allow this to continue.”
Meanwhile, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has submitted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should be ready to taste the bitter pill of defeat in the 2023 general elections.
The Governor made the submission on Thursday in Yola, the state capital where he noted that the people of the state have lost confidence in APC and just as they voted for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, they will do it again in 2023.
Fintiri spoke when he played host to members of the state Forum of Councillors, stressing that the PDP will defeat all other parties including the APC when the election comes.
