The PUNCH: The Nigerian military has said it will intervene if violence recorded in some states in the ongoing nationwide protest tagged #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria escalates. The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, during a press conference in Abuja, said the military would step in to control the looting and violence being witnessed in some parts of the country.

ThisDay: It was a mixed bag for the #Endbadgovernance# protests yesterday, as the action seemed to be losing the steam with which it started in some States the previous day. While it continued peacefully on the second day in Lagos and some other States, there was a clash between protesters and security officials at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, while other parts of the Federal Capital Territory were relatively peaceful.

The Nation: MRS. Debbie Olakunbi Monsurat Adene (nee Oyeneye), who relocated from Lagos to Ondo State some years ago to start a new life, was found in a pool of blood last Sunday, five days after celebrating her 54th birthday. Her death came as a shock to everyone and turned Akure town as well as her Owo where she was born into mourning.
