NCDC Reports New Cases Of COVID-19 In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed three hundred and seventy-one new cases of COVID-19 disease in Nigeria.

The health agency confirmed the cases on its official Twitter handle at exactly 11:40 pm on Friday, March 5, Naija News reports.

The newly reported cases bring the overall numbers of the dreaded disease to 158,042 with a record of 137,025 discharged patients. So far, 1,954  persons have been confirmed dead from the novel virus.

See below the newly reported cases of the pandemic across Nigerian states with Lagos taking the lead with 101 cases while Rivers State follows with 54 cases.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has insisted that there is no COVID-19 in the state, adding that he won’t take the AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 vaccine.

Naija News reports that Governor Bello stated this while speaking on Friday, March 3, declaring that Kogi State has more important issues to deal with than subjecting residents to COVID-19 vaccination.
