Nigeria’s Inflation Rises To 24.08% In July
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said Nigeria’s headline inflation jumped to 24.08 per cent in July 2023, making it the highest recorded leap in a while.
Naija News reports that in June, inflation was recorded at 22.79 per cent, but has now jumped by 1.29 percentage points.
In a statement on Tuesday, the bureau said the headline inflation rate was 4.44 percent points higher compared to the rate recorded in July 2022, which was 19.64 per cent.
